Shoot Day 1
On the 1st shoot day we went outside to film the running sequences on Papcastle Road, between Papcastle and Broughton. The shoot generally went well and we got the shots that I needed although I wish that I had had the gimbal for a bit of time before we had shot (we picked up the gimbal from college and then immediately went to film) so that I could pre-program the movements before the talent arrived.
We also shot the scene set in the bathroom where the female character is brushing her teeth, that shot works really well and I’m overall pleased with how shoot day 1 went.
Shoot Day 2
On the 2nd shoot day we filmed all of the rest of the scenes set in the house, including the cup scene, bed scene, walking shot, and various other bits of b-roll.
The shoot day went well overall, although I perhaps didn’t get as much coverage as I would have liked. Everything went to schedule and the actors were able to leave on time to get home for their anniversary.
Programming for Shoot Day 3
The night before shoot day 3 (after I had finally fixed the issues I had been having with my Avolites T1) I programmed the entire lighting design in my bedroom, timecoded to Winamp so that the lighting would be perfectly in time with the music.
Shoot Day 3
On shoot day 3 we went to the warehouse location and shot all of the scenes needed there,we arrived at 10:00 to pick up the keys as arranged during the location recce, and we left an hour later than originally planned at 16:00.
